Rocky came to us as a very young weanling,
we had decided due to his beauty, outstanding pedigree and gait he would
make a great stallion for our Walkaloosa program instead of the
riding horse he was intended to be. We watched him grow from a young
colt to a beautiful grown stallion with the most outstanding disposition
and beautiful conformation and smooth gait imagined. The more we
were around Rocky the more we appreciated his wonderful nature and
beauty. We have decided to retire him from being a stallion to be what
he was originally intended to be the life long companion that Jane has
always wanted, she has always loved horses but Rocky was one of her
favorites. They are friends and there is a bond between the two of them
that I came to appreciate as with my own riding gelding. Rocky has bred
4 mares for 2008 and we are excited to see his foals. We will be adding
a new stallion soon and he is as beautiful and gaited as this wonderful
stallion was. STAY TUNED HE WILL BE HERE SOON!!
================================================================================================
Rocky has been broke out and has
displayed the 4 beat gait they are so well known for. In comparison with
other gaited breeds we have used in the past for our program such as the
Lateral gait of the Tennessee Walker and the Diagonal gait of the Fox
Trotter, his 4 beat lateral gait is described as a calm lake ride
in your favorite pleasure boat on a lake of glass. Each of the gaited
breeds are unique to the other, we have been very fortunate to have used
all of the gaited breeds at one time or another in our breeding program
and all were exceptional for gait . However Rockies gait is by far
for us the smoothest of the gaited horses we have used in the
past.
He has shown a high
intelligence and does
anything asked. With his outstanding conformation, beautiful
color and his gentle disposition, natural 4 beat gait we can only imagine
what beautiful foals he will put on the ground in 2008. He has been bred
to 4 mares for 2008..
