New Video
and photos coming soon. he has grown into a thick
beautiful yearling colt, we will be posting new photos
soon.. Rocky
Spotted is almost a year old, he is not only growing
in leaps and bounds he will be a BIG BOY, but his gait
has improved 90%.. He is really turning into a
fine gaited colt. He has unique gaits, a slow
gait that looks like he is floating, a
Trot, a Canter, gallop , 4 beat slow smooth Gait
, and a very fast 4 beat gait looks like a rack. We
have seen them all and he is doing them more and more
as he grows up.. .
This pretty near leopard black and white colt is 11 months
old now. He is out of our Rocky By MY Baby
Rocky Mountain Horse and our EastOWest Elena ,
our Ulrich Foundation Appaloosa Mare. He has that wonderful disposition and
temperament so well known for by the Rocky
Mountain horse breed and the Appaloosa Foundation Horse. We
weaned him only a week ago and Joe
was able to stand by him and put a halter on him first
day out of the pasture, We
lead him in the barn and this colt was walking up and
down the isles the first day with a halter and lead
rope. Not at any time did he ever try to kick or bite
or put his ears back at us. This is a very nice well
balanced intelligent young colt. He was a joy to
work with. These are the types of foals we breed for
they are a joy to handle. He is registered with the Walkaloosa Horse
club but can be also duel registered with the ApHC. Appaloosa Horse
Club if gelded. He than can participate in shows, Trail
Rides such as the yearly Chief Joseph ride and all
other events. . He will be a wonderful friend
for the right person. I have enjoyed raising his daddy
from a young boy, he was the sweetest stud colt I had ever
had the pleasure to work with. We went for walks in the
woods, creeks and every where he could possibly go as a
young colt. One time I took him to a muddy part of the
creek and unbeknown to me it was very deep mud , we walked
into it and I fell and sunk down and so did Rocky. He
stayed calm even at this very young age, he lifted his
foot out of the mud onto the higher bank and waited
for me to hold onto his lead to follow him out. he gently
walked out and up with me hanging on. . I don't know if
all yearling colts would of behaved that way that day but
I think many would of panicked and took off as it was very
scary even for me, I was impressed with the
gentle nature and I still am. His colt has the same
qualities and I see his daddy in him in almost every
aspect and his his every move. His dam cam to us from
Indiana, we had been told she was a very sweet
gentle mare. She is exactly what they said and more. We
had no idea she displayed the smooth movement we prize so
much in the Foundation Appaloosa called the Shuffle. We
see it every day and we feel blessed to have her as we did
not know she was a gaited beauty. She
also does the single foot movement that Many of the Ulrich
and Money Creek Horses are known for. The two parents have
made a wonderful quality conformation correct beautiful
Gaited Black and White Colt that would be a great
companion for anyone of any age. We know he
will make a great stallion prospect for any gaited
program, with his color he should throw 100% color, if
bred to a gaited breed should be 100% color and gait, on
appaloosas that do not gait the color should still apply
but the gait is hard to pass onto a non gaited appaloosa
as they have to many years of out crossed horses so the
chances are much less. Its hard to find a colt that
has color and gait. He is the right color to produce the
colored foals bred to gaited mares. White Tipped ears,
white legs and a snow cap. He should be a real producer of
loud colts. he is out of some the best leopards of all
times. Money Creek and Ulrich programs were some of the
largest foundation Appaloosa programs of all times. . Money Creek was known for black and
white and lots of chrome. They performed in all events and
were champions in almost everything they entered. Check
out the lines of these horses on your favorite search
engine or Google. You will be as impressed with his
heritage as we are.
