Black Leopard Stallion
Ghost Wind Heritage
Fire Eagle is a beautiful
foundation black leopard with 5 full generations of appaloosa to
appaloosa breeding. He is not a roan stallion as one would think upon
first glance at neck and chest, those are spots with halos around each
spot. Fire Eagle is one of the only black leopards we have ever seen
that have this leopard pattern. The only other horse that fits this description
is found
in The Legend of the ghost wind stallions. Written by Frank Scriptor
who was known in his day as the Leopard King. Fire Eagle is gentle and
kind, easy to handle. He loves people and is not an aggressive stallion.
He has started his ground training and will be under saddle spring of
2008. We have seen him gait on and off since he was a young colt,
doing a single foot gait in the pasture as well as an occasional trot.
We hope to define his gait under saddle even better as time goes by. His
foals the first year were beautiful with 100% color on even non
appaloosa mares. Stay tuned for his 2008 foals we believe they will be
better yet.
Fire Eagle's pedigree is 5
generations of pure appaloosa with some of the greats such as the Toby
line, Pratt Toby Secret , Pratt Sully
Fire, Blue Bear, Red Eagle, and many more all time great appaloosas
of our history. He also goes back to the nez pierce horses and the famous
Ghost Wind Stallions, which the Indians claim to have been 4
leopard Ghost
Horses from Spain with fire in there eyes, who bred the Indian
horses when the Spanish ship went down off the east coast never to be
seen again.
See information
below about a few of these outstanding foundation stallions in his
pedigree. He is a beautiful black few spot with pure appaloosa
background. He has a super disposition, loves to be handled and is
to date 100% color producer. He has all the points of a pure breed including black
ears , black marks on feet, under legs and a few spots. He is a true
black. His foals this year were outstanding! Click
to view his foals for 2007 he was a two year old when he bred these
few mares and we expect greater than this next year as a 3 year old
breeding for the foals of 2008.
